Thankful for...

1. Baby No. 2 - On Sunday, I'll be 6 months pregnant. I'm shocked by how fast this pregnancy is going. I can't wait to meet our boy and watch Liam meet him for the first time.

2. Warmer fall - This fall has been crazy warm and unusual. Today, we were outside raking leaves at my mom's house enjoying the sun on our backs. We had the windows in the house open too.

3. Gilmore Girls Revival - I'm basically counting down the days till November 25. The new four part series for Gilmore Girls is going to be AMAZING. I can't wait to watch and catch up.

4. Celebrating Meg's Bday - We're celebrating Meg's birthday tomorrow with Phil. I'm excited to hang out with everyone!

5. Thanksgiving - It's going to be a busy one. I'm bringing my pumpkin bars.

6. My mom's group - I'm so happy I have a mom's group where we all have gotten to know each other pretty well! They're all so nice and fun.

7. Liam's laughter and curiosity - I love hearing him laugh about something and watch him use his imagination with his toys. I have the best time playing with him and talking to him.

8. Good books - I've been enjoying a couple of books lately. I might make a post later on.

9. Instagram - I've been uploading my pictures there. It's nice to have them there where I can easily look back at them and create a photo book in minutes with chatbooks.

10. Thanksgiving break - More time with Meg and family!

Colder Weather, Birthdays and Changes

We've had such a mild start to fall/winter this year. I'm grateful for it. That's for sure. This whole week is supposed to be in the 50's or high 50's. We have plenty of time for it to be freezing cold without a break. We've had quite a few days where we have been outside enjoying the fall weather. Meg came over and raked a pile of leaves for Liam, and they both had fun throwing them up in the air. It's fun how kids instinctively think leaves are fun. Ha Liam has been riding his bike into the filed when I let him. It's not super easy riding your bike through the field when it hasn't been dug up. Pretty rough terrain.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the day when it snows. It will be fun to reintroduce Liam to snow and play in it with him! He loves being outside and enjoying watching the animals. Bill's sister's chickens free range so we get to enjoy them running around in our yard. They like visiting our duck and chickens. Speaking of our yard... Bill cut down around 10 trees and then pulled out the stumps with the tractor. Our yard looks pretty amazing right now.

Bill hard at work cleaning up the backyard.

We celebrated my sister's birthday almost a couple of weeks ago by going to Texas Roadhouse and then back to my mom's to open presents. Before we went back to my mom's, Bill suggested I ride with Meg. It was thoughtful of him, because we rarely get to hang out by ourselves. We stopped at Target to look through the Halloween costumes, stickers and decorations. It was so much fun going through everything and finding things Liam might like to play with.

I went out with Liam to lunch at Noodles and Company after we bought him the cutest holiday sweater ever. It was 50 percent off, and it totally looked like the perfect sweater for him. It's a knit sweater with a truck on it. I love buying him an outfit for his birthday and for the holidays.

Anyways, Liam was incredibly happy at lunch. He loves chicken and apple. We lucked out. :)

Halloween 2016

So... I realize I just wrote a post counting down the days till Christmas. Lets forget about that for now, because I can't let November slip by without recapping our Halloween. Liam did great for about 10 houses. He was a little hesitant, and he would take a couple of pieces after I encouraged him to. Last year, Bill held him since he couldn't walk. I asked Bill how many pieces he picked himself, and he said it was one total. Bill helped him with the rest. Things have changed since then!

He loved his cow costume! I loved it too. We really attempted to get him excited for his costume so he would wear it!

Liam with his cousins. I think they gave him some candy. So sweet!

I feel like he looks like one of the big kids waiting to pick out some candy.

Liam got a second wind when we went to my mom's neighborhood and stopped a few houses. There were no kids out and everyone was being super generous with the amount of candy they let Liam have.
At this particular house, the husband came out first and Liam got two handfuls. Then the wife came out and let him grab two more handfuls. It was super cute, and he was so excited.
Grabbing his last handful!

Such a cutie! He did pretty well this year!

We stopped at my mom's house after going to the last few houses. I'm wearing the Mr. Potato head shirt Bill made me when I was pregnant with Liam. I love that I got to wear it again!

A few days before Halloween, we carved pumpkins at my mom's house.

Liam was incredibly happy to be around the pumpkins!

Just a happy baby. :)

Bill with his pumpkin he carved.

Left to Right: My pumpkin, Bill's pumpkin and Meg's pumpkin!

I think it's safe to say this Halloween was the best I've had in my life. I had the best time watching Liam get so excited over pumpkins. He made me think twice about how fun pumpkins are, and I became a little more happy whenever I would see one. I'm also thrilled he loved his cow costume and wanted to wear it the entire night. What a fun October it was!

51 Days Until Christmas

I'm pretty proud of myself this year. I've held off when it comes to listening to Christmas music, but I'm about to start pretty soon. There was one year I was listening to Christmas music in October. I felt like it completely wrecked my excitement for holiday music when November and December came around.

I think I've waited long enough now... Halloween is over, and I tend to combine Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's not that big of a surprise. Most people put up their Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving anyways. We're planning on making my mom's house into a Christmas explosion for Liam. Hahah It was my sister's idea. She's so excited to see Liam's reaction to Christmas since this is the first year where he'll be noticing decorations and talking about them. I can't wait to get him excited over the holidays. We had fun teaching him about pumpkins and preparing him to be overly excited for his Halloween costume.

I love this age. He's almost 2, and he's repeating almost everything we try to teach him. Definitely a fun and exciting time! Lee loves animals too. We got him two books from Ross the other day for $4 each, and he went crazy when he saw he got a big book of animals. You can look up different animals because there categorized under A to Z in the book. We were driving home last night, and he begged us to have the light on so he could look through his books. It was adorable how he kept saying, "Light... light!"

He's still obsessed with trucks, tractors and combines. I want to get most of his birthday and Christmas presents centered around those things along with some train toys. He also loves dogs and cats. It's fun finding big beanie babies that he would love.

He was eating in his chair the other day acting all cute, and I told him I want to buy him all the toys. He smiled really sweet, put his hands up by his face and laughed. It was adorable! I have a feeling he's going to enjoy the excitement of the holidays.
