Liam's First Halloween

Liam's first Halloween was a success! We were chefs and Liam was a lobster! I guess we may haves confused a couple of people. Ha We didn't realize we would make people think we were "cooking something." Well anything besides our lobster. Lol

Liam went Trick or Treating! He loved looking at all the kids. He grabbed a pack of M & M's from a bowl and held onto it the WHOLE time!

Doesn't he look cute?

He has fun with his food.

Taylor and Tom had a party later that night. They had so much food. It was a great party.

It was the classic Halloween where it rains all day and clears up for a little bit in the evening.

Now that it is November tomorrow, I'm thinking it would be acceptable to watch Christmas movies! Who's with me?!

P.S. Here's a throwback picture from last year when I was pregnant with Liam.

Fun at the Field Museum

We took advantage of the free day at the Field Museum on Friday. We left mid afternoon and picked my mom up from work.

We saw the Back to the Future car on the road.

Liam got to play in the kids play area. He was a little small for everything, but he loved the tunnel.

View from the Field Museum.

Sweety. (Sweetie or Sweety. Same thing. Sometimes, I purposely spell it wrong.)

Love the view.

Mom pushed Liam in his stroller to get him to sleep.

The gem section was my favorite. I'm always impressed by it.

A couple was taking staged photos before us. It's always a fun idea.

I sent this picture to my mom while she was helping Liam sleep. She didn't know what was going on. Haha

Touring Hawaii.

And he fell asleep!

And he's up again. He found a button. :)

I thought this scene was awesome. It almost makes me excited for winter.

Bill gave Liam a kiss. And the cutest thing happened afterwards.

Liam gave Bill the biggest kiss! It was SO ADORABLE!

And a family picture!

A tired baby after a long day.

There were a couple of planes flying pretty low.

Checking out the water.

Bill had me drive through the loop. Ahh It was my second time. I think the bicyclists were by far the most nerve wrecking part.

People dressed up for Halloween.

After the museum, we went to Phil's house before going out to dinner. Liam actually liked being put in their coffee table. It confined him, and he didn't mind. Hah

We took a selfie after dinner with Phil and his girlfriend Katie. Now, we just need one more with Meg!

Favorite Time of the Year

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love it for many reasons. One of them being all the special memories associated with it. I can't help but think about my first year of college at the end of August and beginning of September each year.

I went to a community college my first year, and I remember loving the new atmosphere. I was finally in a different school for once where I would meet new people and enjoy different experiences. I also love school in general. The structure of it entices me. Of course, I also found it exciting to be around my peers who were all in the same stage of life and excited for what we were accomplishing.

There really isn't an experience like college in life. Not for me. Maybe I also love the beginning of the school year like many people. Who knows? I just know that fall will continue to remind me of the days, weeks, and years where I would carry a backpack filled with notebooks, textbooks and pens to my classes all the while filled with a feeling of contentment and happiness for the opportunity I was lucky enough to experience.

Spontaneous Trip

I've known for a long time that my in-laws are always up for an adventure. Always. I love that they will go out of their way to have fun and will rarely say "no" to a spontaneous trip. For someone who thrives on a schedule like me, it pushes me out of my comfort zone which is an awesome thing.

Yesterday, I had one of those fun little trips with my in-laws, and it was filled with the usual and fun craziness we always enjoy when we go out together.

Let me start at the beginning of the day.

I had an appointment for Liam since he had a fever for a couple of days. Turns out, he was on the verge of getting sick, but he wasn't. He was fighting it. He's a tough little boy. After his appointment, Bill picked us up, and we made the usual rounds for Bill's favorite stores. We stopped at Culvers for lunch where I ordered two kids meals and my meal. One kids meal for Bill and the other for Liam... Bill thought I was joking. I wasn't. But I was. Kind of... I thought it would be cute if they both got a kids meal. Bill didn't. Haha I couldn't stop laughing when Bill asked me who had the other small pop and chocolate ice cream with cookie dough. It was hilarious to me. He's like, "You're kidding, right?" I was, and I wasn't. LOL

And no, I didn't feed my 10-month-old a pop and ice cream. Don't worry. I do have common sense. Turns out, it was cheap enough to play my little joke on Bill and also take the drink and ice cream from "Liam's meal." I like to have fun with Bill. :)

Later in the day after I finished work, we went over to my in-laws where he hung out for a while and looked Lori's new ring! Bill, my father-in-law, surprised her with a package when they came home yesterday.  It was beautiful! Anyways, we hung out for a while and decided to go out to dinner with my dad.

My Dad missed Liam while he was in Colorado. :)

After dinner, we were almost home, and Bill Senior mentioned something about going to the mall. Everyone was up for it so we turned around and made the 45 minute drive to the outlet mall. My in-laws are pretty awesome.

Bill's family and I both love the Coach store at the outlet mall. I picked up a tote that would hold my writing work and Liam's things. It was so much fun. I went back to the car, and Liam was having fun honking the horn. What a cutie.

I couldn't have had a better day.

P.S. I need to remember to take pictures of everyone... Ugh!

Liam's First Halloween Party

Liam with his cousins dressed up as a nurse and a waitress.

Cuties in a penguin and dog costume.

Cousin love

Liam the Lobster!

He had fun in his costume.

Cutest lady bug who has the same name and birthday as my goddaughter!

So cute!

Minnie Mouse!

It looks like she has the hang of it. :)

E and Liam hanging out.

Our kid Halloween party was a success! I had a great time having friends from my mom's group over with their little ones. I'm lucky to know such a great group!

I haven't talked much about my daily blogging since I started. (It hasn't been that long.) Some of these posts aren't as long as I would like them to be. I'm hoping to change that starting tomorrow.

There's something so special about pressing the publish button on my blog each night. Somehow, it's making me care less about what other people think about me. I'm not sure why though. Mostly, I'm renewing my love for documenting the special moments in my daily life.
