Life Lately

We had an eventful weekend! A birthday party and a visit with Phil made our weekend special. Liam was so smiley when his oldest cousin was holding him.

He loved sitting in a chair and scoping everything out. There were lots of little people to watch.

Liam with his cousin at 3 months and 8 months.

It's so fun to watch all his cousins play with him and love him.

He seems entertained by them too.

Someone turned 5!

Happy Birthday, Sophie!

This also means that Bill and I have been together for 5 years now! We met on March 18, 2010, and his niece was born on March 21! Wow, how has it been 5 years already! Half a decade??

My friend Katie came and visited me and Liam! It was so nice to see her and have her meet Liam.

She brought little treats that are to die for! I honestly would love to have these for my birthday instead of having a cake. They have so much flavor, and they are all unique!

A little Key Lime pie. My favorite.

We went to my mom's house. My mom is so good with Liam. She loves being with them and feeding him. I love watching her with him, because I love watching people love on him. Plus, I also think that I'm seeing how she was with me and my siblings in a way.

And someone discovered their hands... haha

Wilbur was over since my mom was taking care of him for a couple of days. I thought it was funny that he decided to sit by Bill. We joked that Bill was Wilbur's substitute "dad" for the night. Bill's not much of a dog person so I thought it was funny I got him to smile for this picture! LOL

I LOVE watching Phil play with Liam. It's so precious.

Mom and Liam taking a nap. Love you, little buddy!

It was national puppy day the other day. We love our little Kittle so much!

Another one of Phil and Liam before Phil headed out. I think this one is my favorite. I really think it's cool that I had a boy first. Phil never had a brother so it's awesome to have another boy in the family!

We're matching!

Liam wouldn't look at the camera!

I got my new phone this week! Verizon let me move up my contract date by a couple of weeks since I've been a customer with them for 10 years now! I haven't stopped taking pictures since. The iPhone 6 plus takes great pictures. I love this one of Liam's hand touching his lovie.

My dad stopped over for dessert the other night! It cracks me up that there are two lovies in this picture with him and Liam. My baby loves them.

Liam - 3 Months

Highlights from this month:

Weight: 16 pounds and 3 ounces

Height: I'm not sure! Your next doctor's appointment is in April so we'll find out then. You seem tall to me, but that would only make sense since you have tall genes from both me and your dad!

Hair: You have around 10 long hairs that come down the middle of your head and a couple of patches in the back. It's old man hair as we lovingly put it. Ha We can tell your hair is getting lighter. It's not as dark as dad's brown hair and not quite as light as my auburn hair.

Eyes: Your eyes are turning so blue! It's not a big surprise since both me and your dad have blue eyes.

Clothes: You're in 9 month shirts and pants. Some of your shirts are 6 to 9 months, and I have you in 9 month long sleeve footies.

Eating: You're still having over 40 ounces a day. I can't wait until we can feed you real food at 6 months. It will be fun to see your reaction.

Sleeping: This month was amazing in regards to your sleeping pattern! You started sleeping for 8 hours through the night at 10ish weeks for about a week and a half. It was amazing for both parties involved. Ha For a few days afterwards you would wake up once in the middle of the night for food, but last night, you slept for a full 8 hours again! You're pretty amazing like that.

You are taking 3 to 4 naps during the day. You've been doing that for a while now. We never got you to only sleep at night, but we know you need your sleep during the day too. You love napping in a dark area where it's quiet, and you love being in your bouncy chair.

Likes: You love the snail that hangs from your bouncy chair. You will study that snail for thirty minutes straight sometimes! You love quite dark places for sleeping. You also love making raspberries aka farting noises. If we do it first, you will copy us. It's adorable!

Dislikes: You still hate waiting for food. I don't blame you. You're a growing boy after all.

Milestones: I heard you laugh for the first time today, and it was the most precious thing I've ever heard! I couldn't believe I was actually hearing you laugh. You are smiling so much now than you were last month. You react to us when we talk to you, and you will communicate with your own baby language.

You are so vocal. You make bird noises all the time. Well they sound like bird noises. Maybe a parrot squawking.

You are now entertained by your elephant blanket. It has an elephant head with the softest blanket attached to it. One side is a fleece material and the other is a silky fabric. You love grabbing it and feeling the different materials. Sometimes, you pull the blanket up to your face to feel it. It's ADORABLE!

You like to try and do crunches when you're laying down. You want to sit up! Tummy time is still torture time. I'm hoping you start liking it soon, but if not, it's no big deal. Either way, you are a very wiggly little boy! You can't sit still. :)

Momma's Favorites: Your bouncy chair is still a favorite of mine. You can be right next to me while I work. I'll talk to you, and you love being close.

Nick Names: I love calling you Peet or Little Peet. It's my favorite nick name for you! It's funny. Your Grand mama used to call Phil (your uncle!) "Fred." That was her favorite nickname for him. She used to say, "Ready Freddy?" when we were going somewhere. It was adorable. I can imagine I'll be saying, "Ready Peety?" when you're older. Ha Or I might start right now!

Outings: Lets see... You go to church on Sundays. You went to Sarah's parent's house the other week a couple of times. That was fun having you meet them. You also went to the Museum of Science and Industry the other week! You got lots of attention there, and you were probably the youngest visitor that day!

One of my friends was commenting the other day how this winter has been so long! I feel like this winter has flown by. It couldn't have gone faster for me. She reminded me that I felt that way because I have you. It's true. Adjusting to your newborn schedule has been tough, but it has also made this winter seem really short. I love that!

I'm anxiously waiting for the warmer months when I can take you for a walk everyday. I would love to get outside enjoy jogging and walking with you.

Life Lately

 Liam with his Grandpa.
Last week was a week that I want to repeat over and over again. It was that good.

The three Williams. :)

Liam wants so badly to sit up by himself.

Weekly trips to Costco are a part of our routine. Liam doesn't mind.

Do you see the snail Liam's staring at? He is obsessed with it. He studies this snail all the time.

It was warm enough to go for a walk outside with Kittle.

I can't get over this photo. Kittle looks like she doesn't know what to think about Liam. I can imagine she is wondering, "Who is this baby who replaced me??"

Our walk was awesome! The sun felt so good!

I went to a woman's conference with my mom at our church on Saturday. I had such a great time.

My mom and her friend Helen.

I loved the decorations that they had at my church. I would want these decorations for my room.

We took Liam outside and hung out by the chickens for the first time.

My friend Sarah came to visit, and we had the best time. I was so glad she got to see Liam.

I love this picture of Sarah and Liam! I know I'll love looking back at this photo in years to come!

Talking About: 10 Things I Enjoy

1. A good book can always put me in a pleasant mood.

2. Birthday parties. (Not just my birthday party.)

3. I'm kind of obsessed with makeup tutorials. I love watching people put on makeup and learning about different techniques and products. Drugstore makeup is probably the best.

4. Working out and enjoying the endorphins afterwards.

5. Grocery shopping and watching a movie with my mom.

6. Running on my favorite trail with Kittle.

7. Having all my family together. I feel truly blessed to have all of them.

8. Reading through favorite Bible verses or a good devotional.

9. Baking Ginger Bread cookies.

10. My Vitamix! Smoothies and ice cream never tasted so good.

Life Lately

This week has left me feeling extra thankful for my family and everything God has given me. On Wednesday, Bill asked me if I wanted to go to the Museum of Science and Industry, and I thought it was an awesome idea. It was a free day, and we hadn't been there for 2 years!

Liam looked pretty excited to go to the museum for the first time. I dressed him in his dinosaur outfit. It only seemed appropriate. Ha

Liam slept through the first two hours we were there. There were a lot of people there, and he was totally fine with them making a lot of noise.

Enjoying the museum together.

This shadow screen was awesome. You stretch out your hands and motion towards your mouth and the bubbles follow you. It was highly entertaining!

I don't know why, but I enjoy watching Bill feed Liam! He's such a caring dad.

This is Yesterday's Road. I'm standing in front of Jewel Tea Company which is really Jewel. It's my favorite part of the museum.

Mom and I went shopping with Liam last weekend at Macy's. We haven't been there together since last year around Mother's day when I was pregnant and looking for maternity clothes.

Bill read a book to Liam for the first time, and I recaptured the moment to get a good picture. I love how he thought to read him a book at 2 months old. He was all smiles!

I really can't get over how much more alert Liam is this month! He is smiling more and his eyes are so big!
Bill was hanging out with Liam the other day and asked me to have him hold the controller! Ha He wasn't going to do that so I held it in front of him. I know someday he is going to be begging me to play video games. LOL I know Bill will love playing games with him when he's older. :)

Bill snapped this picture on Thursday. I was just telling him how Liam had his expressions especially when he squints his eyes. Bill told me he thought he looked like a Christensen in this photo. I can't deny that he does look like my family in this picture, but I totally think he is a really good combination of both of us. That's at least what I think for now! It could totally change.

Life Lately has been awesome over here. We love our smiling little boy. Plus, we are also getting more sleep!
