Thoughts on a Tuesday

I feel like I have been neglecting my blog lately. Not on purpose of course.

Lately, I feel like I have been adjusting to so many new things. I'm moved out of my house, and I'm married now, and my dad is living and working in Afghanistan. These are huge changes, but I feel like I'm adjusting well.

I love being married and sharing a home with Bill. It's so much fun just coming home to each other at night. I wouldn't give that up for anything. We've made our home really cute and welcoming with all the painting and decorating we've been doing around the house. Once we put up more pictures it also really felt like our house. It's a good feeling. :)

The move has been a little easier knowing that my family is close. They are all so important to me, and it awesome getting together with them. On Monday nights, we've been watching the Bachelor with my sister, Megan, and last night, my brother, Phil, was home so we watched it with him too. We get a good laugh out of it for sure. My sister and I were both pretty upset he didn't keep Casey B, but everyone else seems pale in comparison to Kourtney. He's fascinated with her. What do you think of Kourtney?

Besides watching the Bachelor, I've been watching an array of movies. Like The Help, Killers, Margin Call, The Vow, Mission Impossible, One for the Money, and many others. I've been movie crazy lately. There's a few other movies I want to see in theaters like Titanic in 3D, Lorlac, and The Hunger Games.

I'm actually halfway through the second book in the Hunger Games. It's one of the best series I've read. I'm definitely hooked. Have you read any of those books?

What have you been up to lately?

In Transition

I wanted to thank all of you for your sweet comments on our wedding pictures. We truly had an amazing day!

This Valentine's Day we had breakfast together with heart shaped pan cakes in the morning. Thanks to Bill. :) Also, we just picked out some chickens that we are going to order soon. It's crazy to think we have chickens. I've never had them before. ha Anyways, I am wanting to write about my dad today.

He left for Dubai last night, and he's been in my prayers ever since. He is going to work in Afghanistan for a year as a contractor. I'm so proud of him for taking a chance and being adventurous, but I'm going to miss him so much! When I talked to him last night, he told me not to worry about his safety-that he would be fine. :) I'm praying that he will be. I'm wondering though, what this transition will be like. I've never had my dad far away at any point in my life. We will get to talk often so I'm sure I will adjust after a while. It's just difficult right now.

For now, I'm staying positive and thinking about how grateful I am he was at our wedding and gave me away with my mom. It was really sweet. I'm very thankful for that day!!

Our Wedding

The day of our wedding, I was so excited and happy. I didn't feel stressed at all. My mom and I ate breakfast outside in Florida at the hotel. :) We talked and then the hair and make up stylists introduced themselves. They were really nice, and I couldn't wait to work with them. Our wedding was at 1:00p.m. so we were all getting ready in Bill's parent's suite. They had a huge balcony with an ocean view that was amazing.

I had the best time getting my hair and make up done. I did feel incredibly special, and the woman styling everything was so nice. I was in Heaven. :) Then we went to the beach where we got married. They had decorated the staircase with little pink hearts and tool where my mom and dad walked me down the aisle. My heart was so full!
